"Patterns in the primes"
April 28, 2011
MSRI Simons Auditorium
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Abstract: Is there a formula for the primes? Can you identify a prime quickly if you see one? How many primes are there? (A precise enough answer to this question is worth a million dollars!) Are there magic squares of primes? What patterns can you make with primes? In this talk we will discuss these questions and many more.
The speaker will be happy to try to answer any questions that members of the audience might have about primes.
